Dropped Play Surface

By dropping the play surface it reduces accidental contact with the games and their pieces. Think about it for a minute and I think you'll soon agree that this would be a subtle yet major improvement to your gaming.

By clearly delineating playing surface from non playing surface, the table naturally leads players to organize themselves in a more cohesive manner around the table.
Game Keepers
Game Keepers utilize the dropped play surface to cover games in progress.

With clearances between 2 and 4 inches on our tables, games can be adjourned mid turn and simply covered up until the next game night. Meanwhile the table is still fully functional for casual games, and more in the intervening time.

No more bookkeeping, noting the current status of the game, or hesitance to even play because of time restrictions. This may be the only way a
Home Before the Leaves Fall campaign will ever be completed. (P.S. If you are playing HBtLF campaign I'm in.)

Game Keepers come in several varieties but can be categorized into leaves and full sized inserts.

Leaves can be constructed from the same hardwoods as the table, making the surface a traditional table top.

Inserts can be made of many materials and can have materials on their surfaces as diverse as our custom sand tables to aged copper sheet.
