Custom & Bespoke
As a boutique shop, we can customize most items to your satisfaction. There are three ways to customize our products.
1. Basic configuration and personalization
Most of our products come with numerous ways to custom configure them. Additionally, most products can be cosmetically enhanced with inlays or engravings.
2. Tweak the current design
Is there just one thing wrong with one of our products? A small change, and then perfection? Don't be bashful, just ask.
We'll tell you if your modification or feature is possible, and give you an estimate as to how much it will cost (if anything).
3. New piece
Custom pieces from scratch. No guarantees here, but no harm in asking. The main criteria for us doing a custom piece is, "Does it it interest us?".
Three ways it might interest us:- It solves a gap in function. Other furniture is inadequate for the same function.
- This function gap is shared by others. The functional problem is not specific to you or microscopic minority.
- It is geeky.
Just email valet@geekchichq.com with what you're looking for, and we'll let you know.
Note from da Boss
When asked if we do custom work, I generally respond with, "Sorta. Tell me what you want."
"I have a great furniture/product idea to send you!"
Noooooo! Please don't! It's not that we don't appreciate you. But in order to protect ourselves legally, we must stick to a strict "no submissions, please" policy. If you want to commission a custom piece, you can contact sales and outline your current need (Ex. my computer desk sucks or I own this particular game and want something custom built for it.) Do not send plans, pictures, or anything beyond what your problem is, or we cannot and will not respond to you. We can then let you know if there is something we already have on our list, or something that will be coming out soon-- or if that really is a custom project you have on your hands.
