The Game Vault
Keep it secret,
keep it safe.
Remove the Game Keeper and reveal the Game Vault! The Game Vault is the dopped play area beneath your tabletop that really makes a Geek Chic table special. Every table offers at least 2 ¼" of protected space in which to lay out your games-- neatly accomodating maps, grid and hex overlays, minis, boards, cards, and auxiliary terrain.
The Acrylic Layer (included)
Every Game Vault features a clear, heavy 1/8" Acrylic Layer to slide your games beneath. Not only does it keep them safe, flat, and spill-free, but it also serves as a whiteboard! Make notes, create a dungeon, mark initiatives, keep score, doodle monsters, or draw radii directly overtop your map or board. And use it to write down who went last-- because with the Game Vault, you don't have to break your game down, you can just cover an in-progress game until your group reconnvenes.
To use the acrylic layer, simply lift it with the included suction cup and sandwich your board games, maps, grids and/or hexes between it and the Vault Floor.
Insets (optional)
Insets are additional surfaces that rest on the Acrylic Layer inside your Game Vault. We offer:
Fabric Inset
We offer three types of fabric inset: Plush Velvet, Stretched Velveteen, and Speedcloth. Fabric insets are useful for card games, dice games, games with chips and tiles, or any game that requires a little friction to keep the game pieces in place. The craftboard back of the fabric inset is paint-primed if you want to paint your own board or terrain.
Lego Insets
Rare earth magnets installed on your Lego base plates magnetically attach to a ferrous layer on our tables. This layer also is useful for anyone using magnetic pieces!
Printing
We offer game maps, terrain, and clear acetate grids and hexes made to fit the surface of your table!
All Printing Library layers go in the Game Vault between the Acrylic Layer and the Vault Floor, where they’ll be kept safe, flat, and spill-free. Write on the Acrylic Layer to draw dungeon maps on a grid, or show changing terrain, and wipe it away when the game is over-- never ruin a map for a one-off again! And all Printing Library materials are flexible, so whether you’re transporting them or simply switching them out, you can just roll them up and store them in the tubes they came in. Easy as that.

Vault Floor
White (included) vs. Bamboo (optional)
White
Every one of our tables comes with a white vault floor. The white vault floor offers a clean look that adds contrast to the natural tones of the hardwood (and as a side benefit, is great for projectors). War gamers, or any gamer who will have terrain or large maps covering their table most of the time, most likely don’t need the bamboo upgrade.
Bamboo
The bamboo vault floor is a refinishable surface that completes the natural wood aesthetic of your table. Board gamers and RPG players, who won’t be covering up their entire table surface, often appreciate the look and longevity of the bamboo. We love the bamboo vault floor, and completely recommend it!
