A Straightforward Approach to Email Ethics

We here at Geek Chic believe time is precious, both yours and ours.

Getting spammed every day from the same source is akin to having Entropy as your salesperson: "Would sir like to be worn down until sir accepts the inevitability of purchase?" It makes us all use an alternate email when we sign up for anything (like our love-hate affair with Amazon). However, because people sign up to our newsletter with those same "containment" addresses, our respectful and infrequent updates get lost in the hordes of spam.

For those of you who truly want to hear from us, we at Geek Chic adhere to a code of conduct to assure you, your primary email address is safe with us.

Let's make our time together count.


Email code of Conduct

We at Geek Chic will:

  1. Try to have something worth mailing you about at least once a month. ("You guys never write...")
  2. Not mail you more than once a week, without extraordinary cause.
  3. Inform you of new products, important site updates, and sales.
  4. Avoid over-informing you. We'll send the highlights (TLDR) and you can read more on the site.
  5. Never share your information with others. We don't have that kind of time... and Entropy's commission is punitive.
